Background:
The Knoll Nursing Home in Yeovil, Somerset, had 82% occupancy (41 beds out of 47).
The home was getting 25 enquiries per month (local authority and private), has a significant number of competitors, and had never embarked on a digital marketing strategy, particularly to attract private enquiries.
Up to this point it’s marketing strategy included listings on directories such as Autumna, Lottie and Carehome.co.uk, and using various sourcing companies
Together with the home we drew up a strategy to:
- Help drive enquiries through a targeted digital marketing programme
- Implement enhanced tracking to understand cost per enquiry via digital marketing.
Results:
Within 6 months:
– the home was at 95% occupancy (45 of 47) forecasting a £280,800 annual revenue gain
– had secured 17 additional enquiries via the digital marketing programme
– had a digital marketing programme performing 200% more effectively than five care home groups operating care homes in the same catchment area.

Maninder Ghuman, director of The Knoll Nursing Home.
Maninder Ghuman, director of Knoll House Nursing Home, says: “Our goal was to increase occupancy and generate more private enquiries by improving our presence on Google and across social media.
“Since working with Springup PR, we have seen an increase in occupancy as well as a noticeable rise in both private long-term care enquiries and respite care enquiries. It has been great to see the impact their work has had for The Knoll Nursing Home, and we are very pleased with the support they have provided.”
“Working with Springup PR has been a very positive experience, and the team quickly understood our goals and implemented a clear marketing strategy. They have supported us in strengthening our online presence and ensuring that more families are able to find and learn about the care we provide. They have been approachable, responsive, and clearly understand the care sector and the importance of communicating with families in the right way. I would recommend Springup PR to other care home providers.”
