Specialist neurological care provider PJ Care approached Springup PR because they wanted to promote the launch of new functional neurological disorder (FND) outpatient service – and get more enquiries and referrals from target audiences.

As MD Steve Feery told us: “Our target audiences need to know we’re here.”

Moreover, the kick-off 3-month campaign was part of PJ Care’s long-term aim to make its outpatient (FND) service the most well-known in the UK.

With PJ Care, and after a “Diagnostics” session, we identified the priority audiences to be:

* Neurologists and neurology depts
* Integrated Care Board commissioners
* Medico-legal professionals
* Other relevant professionals and relevant charities

The Solution:

The solution included:

– Collating a personalised database of up to 1,000 professionals including neurologists, Integrated Care Board members;  medico-legal professionals and relevant charity representatives. This database had to be collated by hand.

– A personal “one-to-one” direct mail and email campaign strategy to target audiences. This included personal email communication, and direct mail to named individuals, with engaging hand-signed letters (from Dr Allan Perry, PJ Care’s Director Of Clinical Services) and hand-written envelopes.

– Launched a media/PR awareness to position PJ Care as national experts in the treatment of functional neurological disorder

Results:

– Within 61 days PJ secured 20 enquiries from their target audiences. This was a 300% uplift in enquiries.

– 10 pieces of coverage (including PJ Care-authored expert opinion pieces) in target care and professional media outlets, all conveying key messages and PJ Care’s strong multi-disciplinary team.

Including coverage in:
– Care Home Professional;
– LaingBuisson;
– Medico-Legal magazine;
– Bulletin (for Speech and Language Therapists):
– The Psychologist (the magazine for The British Psychological Society)
– Neuro Rehab Times;
– Care Talk;
– Health Business;
– The Carer
